Weight loss programs are plentiful, some are paid, and some are free weight loss plans. How do you choose the right one for you? Well this can depend on many things, the most important of which is to make sure that it matches your needs, food preferences and discipline levels as much as possible. One of the biggest reasons that people do not have success with a weight loss program is because they cannot stick with it. 11. Jenny Craig – Calorie counting where you buy food from tnhe center and get support from a diet coach.

UltraMetabolism Diet – Created by Dr. Mark Hyman, who says, “If you choose the right foods, you can rev up your metabolism and lose weight” as stated in his book,  UltraMetabolism: The Simple Plan for Automatic Weight Loss. The trick is to control the communication between your genes and your fat cells.

14. The Cookie Diet – This diet is based on the premise that many people cannot stick with their weight loss program because they crave sweets. The Cookie Diet uses cookies to entice dieters into easy weight loss. These are special cookies though, not your usual starch and sugar filled ones. Instead they’re made to be meal replacements and are made with fiber, protein, and other ingredients intended to keep you full.

15. The Eat Right for Your Type – This weight loss program was developed by Peter J. D’Adamo, ND, the author of Eat Right for Your Type: The Individualized Diet Solution to Staying Healthy, Living Longer & Achieving Your Ideal Weight and is based on people eating certain foods and avoiding others based on their blood type, A, B, AB, or O. 16. Fast Food Diet – This one is great for those who love fast food and live a hectic lifestyle. The Fast Food Diet book is a six-week guide for making healthy selections from virtually every fast-food restaurant menu, for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or snacks. The book also includes tips for choosing healthy foods from mall food courts, various sit-down restaurants, airports, and convenience stores.

17. The Flat Belly Diet – This weight loss program promises a flat belly and up to 15 pounds of weight loss in 32 days, without sit ups!

The book, Flat Belly Diet, is written by the Editor in Chief of Prevention Magazine along with, Cynthia Sass, MPH, RD, nutrition director at Prevention.

The basic Flat Belly Diet plan is a 1,600-calorie Mediterranean-style diet with an emphasis on wholesome, unrefined foods including fruits, vegetables, whole grains, nuts, beans, seeds, lean protein, and very little red meat, only allowed about once a month. It also includes a 1200-1400 calorie a day jump start.

18. The Zone DietEnter The Zone weight loss program book offers more than just weight-loss claims. The theory behind this diet is that by retooling your metabolism with a diet that is 30% protein, 30% fat, and 40% carbohydrates, you can not only lose weight but also expect to turn back encroaching heart disease, high blood pressure, and diabetes.

19. 5 Factor Diet – Another celebrity type diet that is based on eating 5 elements per meal, which include — protein, complex carbohydrates, fiber, fat, and fluids — all from 5 meals a day that take less than 5 minutes to prepare.

Also includes a 5 day exercise plan, which are done for 5 minutes each day. Sounds like a good one for those who have a hectic schedule and are pressed for time.

20. The Skinny Vegan Diet – The premise of this weight loss program book, written by former model Kim Barnouin and former model agent Rory Freedman, is that if you eliminate all animal products, fast food, and processed food and eat a whole, natural vegan diet, you’ll be happier, healthier, more energized and thin.

21. Sugar Busters Diet – This weight loss program is based on cutting sugar out completely, all refined and processed as well as some high sugar fruits and vegetables. The basic plan is to eat high-fiber vegetables, stone-ground whole grains, lean and trimmed meats, fish, and fruits.
